Neymar Advises Vinícius: Don't Repeat My Mistake
Saturday 29-11-2025
Journalist Miguel Serrano revealed in press reports that Brazilian star Neymar Jr. gave direct advice to his compatriot Vinícius Jr. regarding his future with Real Madrid, urging him to renew his contract with the royal club and not to repeat the mistake he himself made when he left Barcelona in 2017.

Vinícius's contract with Real Madrid ends in the summer of 2027. Although the club wishes to finalize the renewal process early, negotiations have not yet reached a final agreement between the two parties.

According to Serrano, Neymar drew on his personal experience to warn Vinicius against making a move he might later regret. The Brazilian player left Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain in the most expensive transfer in history, but since then, he has struggled to succeed—whether at the Parisian club, during his brief stint with Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal, or even after his recent return to Santos—due to a long series of injuries that have disrupted his career.

Vinicius represents one of the most important pillars of Real Madrid's project, as the team relies heavily on him alongside Kylian Mbappé and the other stars. According to the report, Neymar believes that staying at a stable club competing for all titles is the best option for a player of Vinicius's caliber in the coming years.

The future of the Brazilian star remains uncertain, caught between his desire to improve his contract terms and Real Madrid's wish to secure his long-term stay, while the club continues to work quietly to resolve this matter before entering a critical period in the transfer market.
