Friday 28-11-2025
Ahmed Abdel Raouf, the technical director of Zamalek, spoke about his team's match against South Africa's Kaizer Chiefs tomorrow, Saturday.

Zamalek will face their opponent Kaizer Chiefs tomorrow, Saturday, in the second round of the group stage of the African Confederation Cup.

Abdel Raouf said in the pre-match press conference: "We represent Zamalek Club, which is a great team, and we play to achieve victory in the match and secure the three points. Starting the tournament with a win is important, and we look forward to a second win in tomorrow's game. We recognize the value of Kaizer Chiefs as a team, and our goal is the three points, especially since Zamalek will play the next two matches in Egypt against Al Masry."

He continued: "The absence of Abdullah Al-Saeed and Nabil Emad Donga affects the team, but Zamalek has players of high quality and at the same level, and the group currently with the team is capable of compensating for any absences."

He added: "We have faced many challenges, especially after the local Super Cup, and we were not successful in converting chances into goals in the match against ZESCO, winning by just one goal. At times, we encountered some mistakes and problems, and we are working on addressing them. However, the important thing was the victory and securing the three points."

He continued: "We respect Kaizer Chiefs, especially since they are an organized team with a defined style of play. The fans make a big difference for the South African team on their home ground, and tomorrow's match will be a big one between two great teams."

Abdel Raouf concluded: "I don't think about my future with Zamalek; every match I have played with the team has been significant. Any success I achieve is for Zamalek first before it is a personal success. Sometimes, the fans may not be fully satisfied with the performance, but winning tomorrow's match will give the team a strong boost to compete fiercely."
