Al-Shabab's Carrasco Nears Return for Match Against Al-Ittihad
Saturday 29-11-2025
The technical staff of Al-Shabab Club, led by Portuguese coach Vítor Pereira, is closely monitoring the final status of Belgian professional Yannick Carrasco's participation in the upcoming match against Al-Ittihad. This match is part of the quarter-final round of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup, scheduled for next Saturday at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah.

Al-Shabab missed Carrasco's services in the recent match against Al-Akhdoud in the ninth round of the Roshn Saudi League, which ended in a 1-1 draw, due to the muscle injury he sustained during the eighth-round match against Al-Ettifaq.

In recent days, Carrasco underwent a treatment and rehabilitation program at a specialized clinic in France, accompanied by a member of the club's medical staff, before returning today, Thursday, to the club's headquarters to join the team's group training sessions.

His participation decision in the match against Al-Ittihad is expected to be determined based on his physical readiness during the main training session, as the coaching staff places great importance on his return due to his significant technical value within the team.

Karasco is considered one of the standout young players this season, having participated in 10 matches—8 in the Roshn League and 2 in the King's Cup. He has successfully scored 6 goals and provided 1 assist, making him one of the key offensive assets for the capital's team.
