Real Madrid Scouts on a Special Mission to Monitor Bayern Munich Defender

The website "Fichajes" revealed that Real Madrid is preparing to monitor French player Dayot Upamecano during Bayern Munich's match against Arsenal in the Champions League, as the royal club considers this game a crucial test to evaluate the defender before making a move to sign him.

The report explained that two scouts from Real Madrid will be present at the Emirates Stadium to monitor Upamecano's performance under pressure, especially given the stalled negotiations for his contract renewal with Bayern Munich, which is set to expire in 2026.

The same source indicated that Real Madrid has been considering several defensive options for months, including Upamecano, Ibrahima Konaté, and Marc Guéhi, who could become available for free negotiations if their contracts are not renewed before January.

The report also confirmed that Bayern Munich is closely monitoring the situation with concern, fearing losing their defender on a free transfer, especially since Upamecano is a key pillar of the team and possesses strong abilities that make him one of Europe's top defenders.

The report stated that Upamecano's performance against Arsenal will be a key factor in Real Madrid's decision, with the club expected to finalize its stance on the deal within the next few weeks.
