Thursday 27-11-2025
Georgian forward Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, a Paris Saint-Germain player, spoke at the press conference today, Tuesday, on the eve of the match against Tottenham in the fifth round of the Champions League group stage at Parc des Princes.

Kvaratskhelia said: "We have a big match ahead of us against Tottenham. The Champions League is always special. We have already faced them this season in the UEFA Super Cup, and it was a tough match, but we won. Tomorrow will be different; it's a different competition. We have prepared well, the team is in good shape, and we are looking forward to the match."

He continued: "It was a tough match against Bayern, and we left disappointed with the result. We have the opportunity to get back to winning ways at home right away, and that's what we want to do against Tottenham. They are a team that attacks and defends well and is very fast in attack. They were leading us 2-0, and we managed to come back, but we know it will be a difficult match."

He added: "We love playing on our home ground; it is an honor for us to play in front of our fans. It is always enjoyable and a pleasure to play at Parc des Princes, and we look forward to it."

He continued speaking about his teammate João Neves: "He is one of the best players right now. It's true that he scores a lot of goals. We want to win together, so it doesn't matter who scores, but he scores a lot, and that's great."

The player explained his personal development: "I believe I am still capable of improving and working on many aspects. This is what I do every day. I can score more, contribute more, and become more consistent. I try every day to present the best version of myself."

He also referred to his defensive duties: "I don't think I used to be like that before; I used to focus more on offense. But here, I learned that the whole team needs to be connected. Thanks to the coach, I learned this new aspect, and it has now become part of my playing style."

He spoke about the team captain Marquinhos: "He is an exceptional leader and a wonderful person who motivates everyone every day and at every training session. He is a great captain and an outstanding player who has left his mark on the club's history."

Kvaratskhelia concluded his remarks about the young players: "These youngsters are amazing; they work hard and perform well. Sometimes you don't even realize they are only 16 or 17 years old. They want to learn and are capable of improving their level. The training standard in Paris is incredible, and we know that many of them will become great players in the future."
