Italian coach Simone Inzaghi, head of Al Hilal club, has given the green light to the club's management to start moving towards extending the contract of Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly, in a move aimed at retaining one of the key pillars of the team's defense.

The Saudi newspaper "Okaz" reported that Al-Hilal's management has officially begun negotiations with Koulibaly to discuss the details of the new contract, including both the financial terms and the duration of the extension, with a mutual desire to reach an agreement in the near future.

The newspaper confirmed that Inzaghi advised the club management to expedite the renewal of the Senegalese defender's contract, due to his significant role within the team and his clear impact on the defensive system since the beginning of the season.

Al Hilal's management is keen to finalize the renewal of Koulibaly's contract before he enters the free agency period next January. The club is intensifying its efforts to secure his continuation and block any potential external offers.
