Al-Khulood President Strongly Responds to Al-Maliki: The Obstacle Was Not Financial, The Reason Lies with the Clubs

Bin Harbourg, president of Al-Khulood Club, emphasized that his previous statements about the difficulty of signing Saudi players were not intended to place the responsibility for the stalled negotiations on the players. He clarified the actual circumstances that occurred during the recent transfer window.

Harburg explained that he is indeed seeking to recruit local players capable of making a technical contribution to Al-Khulood, but the issue of salaries was not the main problem, as some had believed before Abdulilah Al-Maliki, the Al-Hilal player, declined.

Al-Maliki commented that his transfer would not come at the expense of giving up three-quarters of his salary with Al-Hilal, while affirming his readiness to leave in search of playing time, which prompted the president of Al-Kholood to provide a new clarification.

Harburg pointed out on the "X" platform that the problem was not related to financial aspects, but rather to the stubbornness of some clubs that refused to release players who were not regular starters despite having the quality to represent the Saudi national team.

Al-Kholood's president explained that the club's management faced rejection when trying to loan or sell several sought-after local players, which halted the signing process, despite Al-Khulood being ready to offer appropriate financial compensation.

Harborg emphasized that his club does not see money as an obstacle to completing its deals, affirming that efforts will continue to attract outstanding local talents whenever their clubs allow serious negotiations.
