Alexander Santos, the head coach of Morocco's Royal Army Club, confirmed that his team's group in the Africa Champions League is very challenging and that his team must accumulate as many points as possible during the group stage.

The Royal Army lost to Young Africans 1-0 yesterday, Saturday, in the first round of the group stage of the Africa Champions League.

Santos said in statements to the Moroccan website Al Botola: "We must prepare well for the Al Ahly match, as the group is very complicated. If we manage to win the next two matches, we will give the best response to our loss in the first game. We need to collect as many points as possible in the group stage."

He continued: "The defeat against Young Africans was our first this season, and I take full responsibility. We played on a pitch that made it difficult for us to implement our style, and the opponent succeeded in stopping the way we build our attacks. We struggled a lot with set pieces and found it difficult to impose our control."

He continued: "We made changes at halftime in search of more control, and despite entering good phases of the match, we conceded a goal at our best moments. We scored a goal that was disallowed for offside, and after reviewing the video, I found no violation, which is strange."

The match between Al Ahly and Royal Army will take place next Friday as part of the second round of the group stage in the CAF Champions League.
