The Moroccan capital, Rabat, witnessed on the evening of Wednesday, November 19, 2025, the holding of the African Football Confederation Awards ceremony, where the continent’s top players, coaches, and CAF officials gathered amid a large media presence.

The red carpet welcomed the guests of the ceremony in a festive atmosphere filled with lights and music, before Patrice Motsepe delivered his opening speech, welcoming Africa’s stars and emphasizing the role of football in uniting peoples.

The evening’s segments followed one another with artistic performances and visual excerpts featuring legends of the game, concluding with widespread applause during the announcement of the winners and final group photos gathering African football icons.

Achraf Hakimi was crowned the Best Player on the continent for 2025, while Ghazlan Shabbak won the Best Female Player award, Yassine Bounou topped the male goalkeepers, and Chiamaka Nnadozie received the Best Female Goalkeeper award.

Vestón Maïli won the Best Club Player title, while Othman Maama was crowned Best Young Player, and Doha Al Madani achieved the Best Young Female Player award. The Best Coach award went to Coach Bobosta from Cape Verde.

The Morocco Under-20 national team claimed the throne as the Best National Team, while the Egyptian club Pyramids received the Best Club award. The Best Goal of the Year was awarded to Tanzanian player Clemens Mziz.

Hakimi concluded his speech by affirming that the victory represents a message of hope for African youth, while Morocco celebrated a rich haul of awards that strengthened its strong presence on a night full of pride and achievement.
