The Spanish star Pedri, midfielder for Barcelona, confirmed that he is working hard to return quickly to the pitch after his muscle injury that kept him out of the last matches against Elche, Olympiacos, and Celta Vigo, explaining that he is using the international break to recover at the sports city.

Pedri said: "Since I came to Barcelona five years ago, I have learned a lot from my teammates and the team leaders I have played alongside, I now feel that I am in a leadership position within the group after the significant changes I have experienced since my arrival."

The player spoke about the transitional period the club has undergone following the departure of the legend Lionel Messi, saying: "I have learned a lot from great players like Busquets, Alba, Messi, Piqué, and Sergi Roberto. It was not just about their quality on the pitch, but also what they taught me off the pitch about how to behave and help the team. I wished to play alongside Iniesta because that would have made me live a true dream."

Pedri pointed out that the current team, led by coach Hans Flick, is characterized by great offensive effectiveness, clarifying: "We place great importance on scoring goals, everyone tells me that I need to shoot more and get into the penalty area, and I am aware of that and strive to improve it. My brother set a goal for the number of goals I should score this season, but he didn't tell me the exact number."

He also talked about the role of his family in his sports career, affirming their continuous support for him: "My family has always been by my side, they watched all my matches and helped me in tough times. When things go well, they keep me humble. My brother, for instance, always reminds me of the need to score more goals, and that motivates me to develop and enjoy football more."

In conclusion, Pedri expressed his deep affiliation with the Catalan club, saying: "When I was born, they put a Barcelona shirt on me. My grandfather and father were die-hard fans of the club, and they passed this love on to me. I am a lucky Catalan supporter playing for the team I cheer for. I live my dream every day wearing this shirt."
