The famous Portuguese star Rui Costa has triumphed and won the presidency of Benfica once again, allowing him to remain in the position until 2029.

This was after he received a larger number of votes in the election against his opponent, Noronina Lopez.

This is Costa's second term as president of the major club in Portugal, following his first term that began in 2021.

Costa is considered one of the standout stars who have played for Benfica. He grew up at the club and played for the first team for several years before moving to Italy, where he spent 7 seasons with Fiorentina and 5 with Milan. He then returned to Milan, played for two more seasons, and retired.

Costa, who is 53 years old, has participated in 94 international matches with the Portugal national team and is known for his elegance in playing.
