Spalletti: Satisfied with Players' Performance Despite Lack of Offensive Effectiveness
The head coach of Juventus, Luciano Spalletti, spoke about his team's performance following the goalless draw against Torino in the Turin Derby, which took place in the eleventh round of the Italian Serie A for the 2025/2026 season, at the Allianz Stadium.
Spalletti said, "We did not manage to deliver the quality required for our level, and we need to keep working. Some players showed signs of fatigue, but overall, I am satisfied with the team's performance."
Spalletti added: "We tried throughout the match, even with some risks in counterattacks. Di Gregorio made a fantastic save, but we were always close to their goal, and if we didn't find the final touch, there's no need to worry."
Regarding the substitutions he made, the Italian coach explained: "David has great quality inside the penalty area, while Vlahovic was dealing with a minor back issue, but he expressed his desire to play and was completely exhausted when I substituted him. With him on the field, we could have benefited more from Ziegler's crosses, but David is also strong in the penalty area."
