Mutaab Al-Harbi's Injury Raises Concerns for Al-Hilal Before International Break
Saturday 08-11-2025
Al-Hilal Saudi Club defender, Mutaab Al-Harbi, sustained a serious injury to his hamstring during his team's match against Al-Najma, which took place on Friday evening as part of the eighth round of the Roshan Saudi Pro League. This has raised concerns for the team's coaching and medical staff.

Thamer Al-Shahrani, a physical therapy specialist, confirmed that Al-Harbi had previously suffered a similar injury to the same muscle. He explained that the duration of his absence will be determined after precise medical examinations that will reveal the severity of the injury and his response to treatment and rehabilitation.

Al-Shahrani indicated that the player's condition could range from a mild muscle strain to a muscle tear of varying degrees, noting that the final diagnosis will be determined in the coming days after the condition of the injured muscle stabilizes.

If the injury is just a mild muscle strain, the player may only need to be absent for 3 to 5 days before returning to participate in group training with his teammates in preparation for the upcoming competitions.

In the worst-case scenario, which is a muscle tear, the absence period may be prolonged, reaching up to two weeks if the injury is classified as grade one, while it may extend to 4 to 6 weeks if it is confirmed to be grade two.

Al-Hilal fans hope that Al-Harbi's injury is minor, especially given the team's need for his defensive efforts after his outstanding performance in recent matches. The club is expected to issue an official statement detailing his medical condition in the coming hours.
