Media personality Khaled Al-Ghandour revealed Mohamed Abdel Moneim's stance regarding participating in the Africa Cup of Nations during the "Stadium Al-Mohar" program.

Al-Ghandour stated that the player will undergo medical tests in a week that will determine the date of his return to group training and participation with his team in matches.

He added that the player will not join the November camp with the Egyptian national team and that Hossam Hassan has decided to include him in the preliminary squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Al-Ghandour continued that if the player returns to training, he will be present in the friendly against Nigeria and will travel with the national team to Morocco.

He concluded that Abdel Moneim informed Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan of his desire to participate in the Africa Cup of Nations and that he will return to training as soon as he completes the rehabilitation program.
