Napoli's head coach, Antonio Conte, confirmed his team's readiness to face Eintracht Frankfurt in the fourth round of the Champions League, emphasizing that the main goal is to achieve victory despite the difficulty of the opponent.
Conte said in the press conference before the match: "What matters tomorrow is to try to win. We will face a strong team, but our intention is to give our utmost to achieve victory."
He added: "Since the beginning of the season, we have heard many criticisms, yet if we are at the top of the Italian league standings, it means we have done well. Many do not take into account the number of injuries we have suffered so far; nevertheless, we are still competing despite the difficulties."
Conte continued: "The important thing is to win, and the way to achieve it is our responsibility, whether through different playing styles or changes in the lineup, but we cannot ignore the absences we are facing."
He further stated: "We must understand the current phase well; we have new elements that will help us and will be important throughout the season. Getting used to the rotation system should be one of our characteristics if we want to achieve the best results in all competitions."
The Italian coach concluded his remarks by saying: "If we manage to win tomorrow, we can improve our position in the Champions League standings. We know we will face a strong opponent, but at this level, all teams are strong. However, we have the ambition and quality needed to face European competition."
Conte also sent a message to Napoli fans, saying: "I ask our fans to continue supporting us always, because we are a cohesive group, and we must unite to face external criticisms. A united environment makes us stronger together."
