Eagle Noir Coach Comments on Loss to Al Ahly
Coach Jimmy Ndayizeye of the Burundian Eagle Noir commented on his team's loss to Al Ahly in the African Champions League.
Eagle Noir exited the tournament after losing to Al Ahly with a score of 1-0 in the first leg of the Round of 32, and the Burundian team lost by the same score in the return match held last Saturday evening.
Ndayizeye said in the press conference after the match: "Al Ahly is a strong team; we couldn't stand up to them even after the red card, and we were defending throughout the match."
He added: "Next time, we will try to do better, especially if we are lucky enough not to face a team like Al Ahly."
He concluded: "We did not have self-confidence throughout the match."
