Kompany said about the match against Mönchengladbach: "When we step onto the pitch, we will not feel that we are facing the bottom team in the standings. This is a big and historic match. I have been in this position before and I know how the players feel, so we want to maintain our high concentration."

Regarding the goalkeeping situation, he added: "Manuel Neuer will travel with us to Mönchengladbach, but we want to give Jonas a chance before the Cologne match. We have decided that Jonas will start tomorrow; usually, I do not announce the starting lineup, but goalkeepers are a special case, and clarity in these matters is important."

On the young player Linart Karl, he continued: "Young players do not feel a lot of pressure, and I want Linart to experience that feeling. He should enjoy the moment, and if he makes mistakes, we will talk about them. In the future, he will feel the pressure, but for now, I want him to just enjoy playing."

Regarding Linart Karl's chances of participating with the German national team in the World Cup, he said: "I respect Julian Nagelsmann a lot, but my focus as Bayern's coach is for Linart to succeed with the team first. He needs to prove his quality and keep working. Playing for Bayern Munich is a great advantage, but he should not think too far into the future; he should focus on the present."

On Konrad Laimer, he said: "Energy and hunger are what distinguish him. We have a lot of positive things in the team right now, and the energy he brings helps the group a lot. We have great quality, but energy is an indispensable element for us."

Regarding the possibility of achieving the thirteenth consecutive win, he stated: "What matters to us tomorrow is the three points only. I do not care much about statistics; we need to maintain our full concentration in every match."

On the comments made by the Mönchengladbach coach that Bayern is not offering anything special, he said: "I think his statement was positive; perhaps he meant that our style is clear and easy to understand.
