Al Hilal has ramped up its activities during the summer transfer window, placing Colombian winger Luis Diaz of Bayern Munich among its top targets to bolster their attacking strength.

Scottish sporting director Richard Hughes is leading Al Hilal's efforts to reach a preliminary agreement with the player before official negotiations begin with the German club.

According to Belgian journalist Sasha Tavolieri, Al Hilal is preparing to offer an annual salary of around €25 million net, aiming to convince Luis Diaz to embark on a new adventure in the Saudi Pro League.

Reports indicate that Al Hilal has allocated a summer budget of $350 million, with the management ready to make an offer ranging between $120 and $150 million to sign the Colombian winger.

These moves come despite Al Hilal's recent acquisition of Dutch winger Cresencio Summerville from West Ham United, in a deal worth approximately €76 million, aimed at bolstering the left flank.

Luis Diaz has joined Bayern Munich in the summer of 2025 from Liverpool, signing a contract with the German club until June 2029, with a market value of €70 million.

The Colombian player has played 51 matches with Bayern Munich across all competitions, scoring 26 goals and assisting 23 others, continuing to prove his ability to make a difference offensively.

Al Hilal is moving in tandem with efforts to reorganize its foreign roster, while exploring the futures of Darwin Nunez and Malcom, aiming to create spaces for new attacking signings for the upcoming season.
