The French star Ousmane Dembélé expressed his happiness after scoring a quick goal with Paris Saint-Germain against Bayer Leverkusen, just three minutes after entering the field, in his first appearance since winning the Ballon d'Or, confirming that he is gradually regaining his form following his return from injury.

Dembélé said: "We started the match well when we opened the scoring, then we went through a somewhat difficult period due to the numerous yellow cards and the red card that could have been avoided, but we remained focused in the match, and the goals from Désiré Doué before the end of the first half helped us to advance with confidence, and then we were able to finish the match in the second half."

He added: "Being at the top of the standings temporarily is important, but we need to maintain the same rhythm; we are only in the first half of the season, and we must keep our focus in the Champions League and the domestic league with the same strength."

Dembélé talked about his return to the pitch, saying: "I entered the match with a bit of cautious steps because returning from injury is not easy; I wanted to play against Strasbourg, but the coach asked me to wait. I felt very comfortable during the match, and I saw an opportunity coming from a pass from Bradley, and I just had to put it in the net. I feel good, and I am gradually regaining my feeling for the games."
