Nottingham Forest Announces the Signing of Sean Dyche
Wednesday 17-12-2025
Nottingham Forest Football Club has announced the appointment of Sean Dyche as the new head coach of the team, following a meticulous selection process led by Edu Gaspar (Head of Global Football Operations) and George Sirianos (Global Technical Director).

Dyche, who previously played in the Forest Academy in his youth, has signed a contract that extends until the summer of 2027, and will lead the team for the first time next Thursday when they face Portuguese side Porto in the Europa League.

Joining the coaching staff will be Ian Woan and Steve Stone, both former players of Nottingham Forest, who together played over 400 matches for the club during the 1990s.

Dyche is considered one of the most experienced coaches in the Premier League, having managed over 330 matches in the top flight, with his teams known for their defensive solidity, tactical discipline, and strength in set pieces — traits that align perfectly with Nottingham Forest's current identity.

Additionally, as a former player of the Forest Academy and a resident of the area, Dyche possesses a deep understanding of the club's values, traditions, and supporters, making his appointment an ideal step to lead the team towards a successful season both domestically and in Europe.
