Al-Hilal Moves Quickly to Renew Star's Contract and Protect Him from European Temptations
Monday 20-10-2025
The Saudi club Al-Hilal has begun intensive efforts to renew the contract of its Serbian star Sergej Savic, amidst increasing European offers seeking to sign the player in the upcoming period.

Al-Hilal officials continue their positive negotiations with Savic, as they aim to finalize the agreement with him as soon as possible to ensure his continued presence with the team, according to the program "Mal'aib" on Al-Arabia FM.

Sources confirmed that the Al-Hilal administration shows great interest in keeping Savic, especially after recently succeeding in extending the contract of Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou for two seasons and renewing the contract of right-back Hamad Al-Yami for three seasons.

In turn, Savic has shown a preliminary willingness to renew his contract with Al-Hilal, as he believes that his continuation with the leader provides him with technical stability and the distinguished status he has enjoyed since arriving in Riyadh.

It is expected that the renewal file will be resolved in the coming days, should both parties reach a final agreement regarding the financial details and some additional clauses in the new contract.

It is worth noting that Savic joined Al-Hilal in the summer of 2023 from the Italian club Lazio, and his current contract runs until June 2026. Since joining, he has played 103 matches, scoring 30 goals and providing 27 assists to his teammates in various competitions.
