Egyptian Moamen Suleiman, coach of the Iraqi police team, made a promise to the fans of the green lyre to deliver a distinguished and enjoyable performance against Al-Ittihad of Saudi Arabia, in the anticipated match that will take place tomorrow evening, Monday, at the International City Stadium, as part of the third round of the AFC Champions League for the elite.

Suleiman emphasized during the press conference dedicated to the match the importance and difficulty of the confrontation, confirming that his team will enter the match with great determination to achieve a positive result that befits the name of the police and Iraqi football.

Suleiman said: "The police team will face a very organized opponent that includes world-class players, so we are expecting a very big match. We must present ourselves in a way that befits the name of the club, and be at the highest levels of technical and physical readiness to achieve the desired goal."

He added: "The police fans are aware and understand the importance of this confrontation, and I am confident that they will be the first support for the team, without being drawn into any provocations or bids outside the realm of football. We in the coaching staff are working to calm the atmosphere and focus entirely on the pitch only, because our goal is to present real football that delights our large audience."

He continued: "Our team is very good technically, and I am completely satisfied with the players' performance in previous matches, whether in the Iraqi Stars League or in the Asian championship. We always strive to improve our performance from one match to another, and we promise the fans that they will see beautiful and attacking football, with continuous improvement in every appearance we make this season."

He concluded his remarks by saying: "Our style is clear, which is to possess the ball and circulate it continuously, while executing as many passes as possible during the match, and we will adhere to the same approach against Al-Ittihad. We will try to close the spaces and rely on our own style, while fully respecting Al-Ittihad and their coach, Portuguese Nuno Espírito Santo Conceição, whom we hold in great esteem."
