Son Studies Move to Milan

Football Italia revealed that South Korean star Heung-min Son, the former Tottenham Hotspur legend, could be one of the options available to AC Milan during the upcoming winter transfer window, as they seek to finalize a short-term loan deal in preparation for the 2026 World Cup.

The report clarified that Son, who left Tottenham after a decade of service at the beginning of last summer, joined Los Angeles FC in Major League Soccer, where he scored nine goals in his first ten matches there.

The source noted that the MLS season has different timing compared to European leagues, running from late February to mid-October, concluding with the MLS Cup final on December 6, 2025, before the long break leading up to the new season.

The same source added that Son is considering a temporary return to Europe to maintain his physical readiness before the World Cup, similar to what David Beckham did when he joined Milan before the 2010 World Cup.

The report also clarified that Milan is one of the prominent options available to the player, alongside the possibility of returning to Tottenham or moving to one of the clubs in South Korea.
