Kompany Praises Bayern and Kane's Performance After Victory Over Dortmund
Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany appeared in a press statement after the victory over Borussia Dortmund 2-1 in the seventh round of the Bundesliga.
The coach said after the match: "The first half was almost perfect; we could have scored two or three more goals."
He added: "In the second half, all credit goes to Borussia Dortmund. They fought fiercely, but we were also slow and disrupted our own rhythm. Nevertheless, we must maintain the threat of play in difficult moments, and we did that and created chances."
Regarding reaching 11 consecutive wins and a 7-point lead over Dortmund, he stated: "I don't focus on that. Zero focus. I told the players that too. We need to keep going. I want to win the next 11 matches. This season is over, and we must perform well in the next match."
He concluded about Harry Kane: "He delivered a complete performance again, of course thanks to his goal. Harry Kane remains, and will continue to be so, both in building attacks and in defense and in tackling. A very complete performance. The other players also performed wonderfully and put in a lot of effort, but Harry is going through a very good phase right now. We are all enjoying that."
