Salem Al-Dosari, the captain of the Saudi national team and Al-Hilal club, commented on winning the Asian Player of the Year award for the second time in his career, expressing his happiness and pride in this achievement.

Salem Al-Dosari was awarded the Asian Player of the Year for the last football season 2024-25 during a ceremony organized by the Asian Football Confederation in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

After receiving the award, Salem said: "I thank the leadership for their support of sports and athletes. My receiving the award came after effort and is a complement to team awards."

He continued: "The circumstances were pressing, I took on the responsibility, overcame the difficulties, and was awarded the prize, and the most important thing is the Saudi national team's qualification for the 2026 World Cup."

He added: "Winning the Asian Player of the Year award is just the beginning of the journey, and I will continue to work to raise the name of the nation in global forums."
