Jorge Jesus' Stance on Coaching the Saudi National Team
Jorge Jesus, the coach of Al-Nassr, congratulated the Saudi national team on qualifying for the 2026 World Cup finals.
Jesus stated in remarks to the "Al-Riyadiyah" newspaper: "I congratulate the Saudi national team on qualifying for the 2026 World Cup finals, as well as my eight international players from my team."
Regarding his stance on coaching the Saudi national team, he said: "I have a commitment to the Al-Nassr project, and I met with Cristiano Ronaldo to please the fans by winning the league and championships."
He continued: "In football, things are changing; last season I received an offer to coach the Brazilian national team, which I rejected because I was with Al-Hilal, and by nature, if I start a job, I like to finish it."
He added: "The international break is definitely impactful and has caused some problems in our training program, and we will try to address them. Al-Fateh is a tough team despite their struggles in the league."
He elaborated: "Today, the international players will participate in training; we don't have much time for preparation, but we are ready for the match."
Al-Nassr will face Al-Fateh next Saturday in the fifth round of the Roshan Saudi League.
