Saudi Al-Hilal Club is nearing the conclusion of the contract extension for their Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, after reaching a preliminary agreement between the two parties to keep him with the team for an additional two seasons.

According to what was published by Al-Yawm newspaper, negotiations between Al-Hilal's management and Bounou have reached their final stages, with only a few minor details remaining before the official announcement of the anticipated renewal.

Sources confirmed that the official announcement regarding the contract extension will take place in the coming days, in a move aimed at maintaining the team's stability and ensuring the Moroccan goalkeeper's continued presence within the club's technical project.

Bounou transferred to Al-Hilal in the summer of 2023 from Sevilla for 15 million euros, with a contract lasting three years, during which he has shown impressive performances making him one of the team's key pillars.

Yassine Bounou is considered one of the top goalkeepers in the Roshen Saudi League, having played a significant role in Al-Hilal's recent successes thanks to his vast experience and remarkable performance in both domestic and continental matches.

The blue team is currently preparing to face Al-Ettifaq next Saturday in the fifth round of the Saudi Professional League, in a match where they aim to continue their positive results and maintain their lead.
