Kaddash Returns to Al-Ittihad's Spotlight.. and Conceição Considers His Inclusion Against Al-Faihah
Al-Ittihad team has regained the readiness of its veteran defender Hassan Kaddash after a long absence, making him part of the calculations of the Portuguese coach Sergio Conceição in preparation for the upcoming match against Al-Faihah next Thursday in the fifth round of the Roshan Saudi League.
Special sources revealed to Al-Riyadiyah newspaper that Kaddash, who is 33 years old, participated in the team’s training sessions during the recent international break, showing full physical and technical readiness that qualifies him to return to official matches.
The player had suffered an injury to his hamstring while playing for the Saudi national team against Haiti in the Gold Cup, which took place in San Diego, USA, in mid-June.
Kaddash has been absent since that injury from the Al-Ittihad's summer training camp, in addition to the Saudi Super Cup held in Hong Kong, along with the last four matches in the Roshan League against Al-Akhdoood, Al-Fateh, Al-Najma, and Al-Nassr.
The defender was also deprived of participating in the two matches of the AFC Champions League against Al-Wahda from the UAE and Shabab Al-Ahli, which affected Conceição's defensive options over the past weeks.
Kaddash underwent intensive individual training under the supervision of the club's fitness coach before the international break, aiming to gradually increase his readiness in preparation for his awaited official return to strengthen the back line of the Al-Ittihad team.
