Bayern Munich Considers Extending Manuel Neuer's Contract for Another Season
Friday 10-10-2025
Sky Germany reported that Bayern Munich's veteran goalkeeper and the German national team, Manuel Neuer, may extend his contract with the club for another season after his current contract ends next summer.

Neuer, who will turn 40 on March 27, 2026, continues to deliver strong performances this season and shows high technical readiness.

According to Sky Germany, Bayern Munich's management is set to hold official talks with Neuer next December, and it seems that renewing the contract is currently a possibility.

If the contract is extended, it is likely that goalkeeper Alexander Nübel, who is currently on loan at Stuttgart since the summer of 2023, will be sold, as another loan is not expected, and his contract with the club runs until 2029.

The same source indicated that Neuer's outstanding performance has sparked debate about the possibility of his return to the German national team, especially with the absence of first-choice goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen for an extended period, which could open the door for his participation in the 2026 World Cup.
