Inter Milan Moves to Renew Federico Dimarco's Contract
Inter Milan is working to extend the contract of left-back Federico Dimarco after his strong start this season under new coach Cristian Chivu, according to the website "Football Italia."
The report noted that the 27-year-old player, whose current contract ends in June 2027, has regained his distinguished form after a previous season filled with difficulties, in addition to feeling dissatisfaction with how he was treated by former coach Simone Inzaghi.
During the current season, Dimarco has excelled by scoring two goals and providing three assists in six matches in the Italian league, bringing him back to the peak of his technical and physical level.
According to the same website, Dimarco leads the Italian league statistics in successful crosses (23), created chances (22), and dangerous chances created (11), which has prompted Inter Milan's management to begin talks to extend his contract until 2029 or 2030.
It is worth mentioning that Dimarco is a product of the club, having grown up in the Inter Milan academy, and he has remained connected to the club he has supported since childhood after several loan spells at clubs like Ascoli, Empoli, Sion, Parma, and Hellas Verona, before establishing himself as one of the key pillars in the team's lineup.
