Yas Sourab, the new head coach of Al-Ahly, expressed his happiness with the experience he will undertake in training the Red team.

He added in statements to TV2 Sport Denmark: "I was attracted to opening new doors and to a new continent, which is why I ultimately agreed to this great challenge."

Regarding the salary he will receive at Al-Ahly, he said: "I will go to Cairo to achieve some results and to take another step in my professional career. So, it is clear that the salary is part of the matter, and it is certainly good. But whatever it is, I keep it to myself. Al-Ahly contacted me several times before, but this time we only managed to reach an agreement."

He concluded: "What I have seen over the past month from Egyptian football is a league that enjoys high individual quality, but they lack a little tactical understanding as a team, which I hope I can help with and take the next step forward in development."
