Real Madrid star Rodrigo Goes appeared in an extensive press interview with journalist Thomas Roncero through the Spanish newspaper "AS", where he discussed many matters and issues.

Rodrigo said: "It is a pleasure to be with you again, Thomas. The big challenge for my national team this season is the World Cup. We couldn't talk much due to my absence from the recent call-ups, but now I am with the team, and I am very happy."

He added: "Did Ancelotti talk to you about coaching Brazil when he was the coach of Real Madrid? We talked, but he was always clear in respecting Real Madrid as long as he was the coach of the team, and he didn't want to do anything that might annoy the club. And when he communicated with the Brazilian Federation and Madrid and reached an agreement, he conveyed to us his happiness in taking on this challenge. He is very excited, and we are excited with him."

He continued: "Carlo is capable of making Brazil a global power again and competing for everything, but the goal is to bring the fans back to our side. He has always told us that in the different teams he coached, he trained many Brazilian players and that he loves working with players like us. Bringing back the Brazilian fans (Torcida) to feel joy while watching our matches. Surely things will go well."

Regarding wearing the number 10 with Brazil: "It is a huge pressure on me because of the legends who wore this shirt. I am just at the beginning of my journey. I always clarify that this shirt still belongs to Neymar. I only wear it because of his injury issues. But in the matches where I have to play with number 10, or any other number, I am ready to give my best with Brazil."

On Brazil's ability to win the next World Cup: "As long as we are Brazil and because of our history, we can always dream. We have earned the respect of our opponents. We are five-time world champions even if we haven't done well in recent years. We can always dream because we have excellent players playing in the best clubs in the world. We lack something, but not much for all of us to be on the same wavelength and for things to work out on the pitch. With the coach, everything will go better, and I hope we are more prepared for the World Cup to compete for the title.

He concluded: "What do you hope for in 2026? I want to win everything again with Madrid. Winning another Champions League would be amazing. And of course, I dream of winning the World Cup with Brazil."
