France's training sessions saw the absence of star player Kylian Mbappe, Real Madrid's forward, due to a mild sprain in his right ankle sustained during his team's recent match against Villarreal.

Mbappe is currently undergoing rehabilitation treatment to recover from the injury, while there is optimism within the French national team's camp regarding his potential availability for the upcoming match against Azerbaijan on Friday, during the current international break.

Head coach Didier Deschamps spoke about Mbappe's condition, confirming that it is not serious. He said, "He felt a slight discomfort, but it is not concerning, and if it were a serious injury, he wouldn't be with us."

Deschamps clarified that he is counting on Mbappe for France's matches against Azerbaijan and Iceland on October 10 and 13, respectively.

On the other hand, there is a sense of concern within Real Madrid, which hopes that their top scorer's injury will not worsen during his time with the national team, especially with important matches approaching after the break against Getafe, Juventus, and Barcelona.
