Zakho Club continues its strong performances in the Iraqi Stars League after overwhelming its guest Nawruz with a clean four-goal victory in the match held at Zakho International Stadium this evening, as part of the fourth round of the competition.

The match witnessed exceptional fan atmosphere, as the stands were filled to capacity after a period of deprivation for Zakho fans from attending, in addition to maintenance work that kept the team away from its stronghold, making this confrontation the first for Zakho at home this season.

The players from Khabour entered the match strongly and opened the scoring early through Dabiati in the 3rd minute, before star Sherko Karim enhanced the lead by scoring the second goal in the 23rd minute, continuing his remarkable brilliance in recent matches.

Before the end of the first half, Nawruz received a third blow when its Bosnian defender Kristijan Tujgic scored an own goal in the 44th minute, ending the first half with Zakho leading by three clean goals.

At the beginning of the second half, Zakho continued its absolute dominance over the match, and Amjad Atwan was able to score the fourth goal in the 46th minute, confirming his team's superiority and completely extinguishing the guests' hopes of returning to the match.
