New Faces Knock on Algeria's Doors in October Camp
Algerian coach Vladimir Petkovic announced today, Thursday, the official list of the Algerian national team for the October training camp, which includes two important matches against Somalia and Uganda in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Petkovic revealed an expanded list that includes 26 players, featuring some new names receiving their first call-up, notably Rafik Belghali, Mehdi Dourval, and Samir Cherki, in addition to goalkeeper Luka Zidane, who joined the Greens' goalkeepers for the first time alongside Osama Ben Bout and Kendouz.
The list also included the usual elements in the national team's lineup, such as Riyad Mahrez, Islam Slimani, Youssef Belaïli, and Andy Delort, along with defensive pillars like Ramy Bensebaini and Aissa Mandi.
