The Algerian National Team Arrives in Kansas and Begins Countdown to Argentina Match

The Algerian national team arrived in Kansas City, USA, early Monday morning to begin the final phase of their preparations for the 2026 World Cup finals. They will hold their main training camp there in readiness for the global competition.

The "Greens" delegation received an official welcome upon their arrival in the United States, attended by the Algerian ambassador to Washington, Sabri Boukadoum, along with several members of the Algerian diplomatic mission.

Upon arrival, the team headed directly to the city of Lawrence in the state of Kansas, which will be the team's residence during the tournament. From there, they will continue their preparations for the upcoming World Cup matches.

The Algerian national team's departure followed an intense day in Algeria, which included their final training session on Sunday morning. Afterwards, the players and coaching staff received an official reception from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, reflecting the significant support the team enjoys ahead of their international participation.

Coach Vladimir Petković's team will continue their preparation program in the United States, which includes a friendly match against Bolivia on June 10, as the final test before officially entering the competition atmosphere.

After this friendly match, the Algerian national team will fully focus on their opening game in the World Cup, where they will face a strong opponent, Argentina, on June 17, marking the start of their journey in the tournament.
