Kompany: Winning the Champions League is not easy, and we trust all the players
Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany appeared in press statements after the 5-1 victory over Paphos in the second round of the Champions League group stage.
The coach said: "It seemed easy, but it wasn't at all. We won, and the score was large, but I am confident that Paphos will be difficult to face."
He added: "In the second half, we had to fight and work hard to stabilize the match. Then we became more dangerous again. I am sure Paphos will have a good experience in the Champions League."
Regarding the possibility of winning the Champions League this season: "I clearly stated before the first match that our dream is to be there (the final) and have a chance to win. Winning the Champions League is very difficult. But we are now in the middle of the competition, and we must focus only on winning the next match."
He concluded about rotating players and benefiting from the lineup: "We trust all the players we have, and that's why we play them. We will continue to do so. The most important thing for me is to give the players I have all the confidence needed to perform well."
