Saudi press sources revealed this morning the position of German coach Jürgen Klopp, the former Liverpool manager, on coaching the Saudi Ittihad Club following Frenchman Laurent Blanc in the upcoming period.

According to the press sources, the Ittihad Club management has opened negotiations with Klopp, and the sources mentioned that the coach has tentatively agreed to the contract under undisclosed conditions.

It is noteworthy that the Ittihad Club announced early last Sunday the dismissal of Frenchman Laurent Blanc from coaching the team after losing to Al-Nassr by two goals to none in the fourth round of the league.

The Ittihad Club appointed Hassan Khalifa as the interim coach of the team until a new foreign coach is contracted.

Klopp is currently working as the global football director at the Red Bull Group since the beginning of 2025, overseeing the football strategy within the Red Bull club network.
