Riyad Al-Muzhar, Director of Institutional Communication and Official Spokesperson for Al-Ittihad Club, responded to rumors regarding the departure of French striker Karim Benzema from the team and his potential return to Europe.

Reports had indicated that Benzema was considering not extending his contract with Al-Ittihad and was planning to return to play in the UEFA Champions League before the end of his football career, possibly through Benfica in Portugal.

In turn, Al-Muzhar confirmed on Monday evening that the circulating news about Benzema's future with Al-Ittihad is completely unfounded, urging fans not to be swayed by rumors that seek to affect the stability of the club.

Al-Muzhar wrote on his account on the platform 'X': "There is no truth to what is being circulated about the future of the team's captain, Karim Benzema, with Al-Ittihad, and the reports regarding this matter are entirely false."

He added: "We urge our dear fans not to be led astray by rumors that seek to affect the stability of the club, affirming that news about Al-Ittihad is only issued through its official channels."
