Max Eberl Reveals Bayern Munich's Plan Regarding Harry Kane's Future
The sporting director of Bayern Munich, Max Eberl, revealed the club's stance on the future of English striker Harry Kane amid recent rumors about a possible return to the Premier League.
In statements reported by the German newspaper "Bild", Eberl said: "Harry is an exceptional player and a true leader for us. He has expressed his desire to join Bayern himself and made it clear that he enjoys playing with us and winning titles. We also want him with us for a long time, and we will calmly discuss the next steps with him."
He added: "I learned from my former mentor Hans Meyer that the most important thing is the good blend within the team. When you have the right balance, you can rely on older players with amazing quality. Harry now shows that he seems younger due to his activity and vitality on the field, so the idea of renewing with him is very plausible."
Eberl also commented on the results of the Ballon d'Or award, after Kane finished 13th and his teammate Michael Olise finished 30th, saying: "We will not reach the level of boycotting the award like Real Madrid. It is related to titles, and this is a reality that must be acknowledged. However, the performance of our players like Jamal Musiala, Michael Olise, and also Harry deserves greater appreciation. In the end, evaluations are personal, and we will focus on collective success, which will grant our players better positions in the future."
Regarding Bayern's next match in the Champions League against FC Paphos from Cyprus, Eberl explained: "Everyone expects our victory, and that is what we indeed want. Away games are always more difficult, but we must show our quality, energy, and dominance on the field. If we do that, we will win the match."
Eberl also touched on the situation of French defender Dayot Upamecano, confirming: "I am not surprised by the interest of many clubs in his services. We are interested in renewing with him and are making efforts to convince him of Bayern's project. We want him to stay with us."
