FIFA Announces Referees for Algeria's Matches Against Somalia and Uganda
The International Football Federation (FIFA) has revealed the identity of the referees assigned to officiate the last two matches for the Algerian national team in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, against Somalia and Uganda.
The "Greens" will face the Somalia national team on October 9 at the Miloud Hadefi Stadium in Oran, officiated by Malawian referee Godfrey Philip Nkhakanaga, with assistance from his compatriots Clemence Kanduku and Timbo Bondamali.
As for the final round match against Uganda, scheduled for October 14 at the late Mujahid Hussein Ait Ahmed Stadium in Tizi Ouzou, it will be officiated by a refereeing crew from Mauritius led by Ahmed Emthaz Hiralal, with assistance from Tilok Aswit and John Mark Jeff Betia.
The Algerian national team leads Group Seven with 19 points, four points ahead of the nearest pursuers, and needs only three points from the next two matches to officially secure a spot in the World Cup, after being absent from the global event since the 2014 edition in Brazil.
