Inter Miami officially announced the decision of its veteran Spanish player Sergio Busquets to retire from football at the end of the current season.

Busquets is in his second season with Inter Miami after moving on a free transfer from Barcelona, having played 105 matches with the team, scoring one goal and assisting 16 others.

Internationally, Busquets won the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012 with the Spanish national team, having played with the team from 2009 to 2022.
