Sky Sports has revealed that Crystal Palace has become aware of the difficulty of keeping their captain, Mark Guehi, with the team for a long time, given the stalled negotiations for his contract renewal and the lack of indications for his continuation.

Guehi's transfer to Liverpool collapsed on the last day of the summer transfer window for £35 million, but the player is calmly dealing with his future, with strong expectations for his departure either during the upcoming winter transfer window or for free next summer.

Despite the possibility of Liverpool returning to negotiate in January after their defender Giovanni Leoni suffered a cruciate ligament tear, Crystal Palace's management is not considering selling Guehi at a low price during the winter.
