French newspaper 'L'Équipe' revealed details about the reaction of Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi, star of Paris Saint-Germain, following the announcement of his sixth place in the 2025 Ballon d'Or race, which was won by his teammate Ousmane Dembélé.

The newspaper explained that Hakimi was surprised to see his name appear quickly on the screen while watching the ceremony with his teammates in the locker room at the Vélodrome Stadium, right after the French classic match against Olympique Marseille.

Although he believed he deserved a better ranking, 'L'Équipe' confirmed that the Moroccan defender showed no signs of discomfort or frustration, especially after feeling the significant support Dembélé received from the Parisian club's management recently.
