Cancelo Out of Al Hilal's Plans for 10 Matches

Al Hilal Saudi Club revealed that their Portuguese player Joao Cancelo has suffered an injury to his hamstring, which will require him to undergo a treatment and rehabilitation program lasting between 6 to 8 weeks before returning to the pitch.

Cancelo's injury occurred during his team's match against Qatari side Al Duhail in the first round of the AFC Champions League, where Italian coach Simone Inzaghi was forced to substitute him in the 40th minute after he felt severe pain.

The Portuguese player is expected to miss 9 upcoming matches, in addition to the last match against Al Ahli that he already missed, which includes matches in the domestic league, the King’s Cup, as well as the Asian championship.

Al Hilal will specifically miss Cancelo's services in the matches against Al Adalah in the King’s Cup, and against teams such as Al Akhdood, Al Ittihad, Al Shabab, and Al Najma in the league, in addition to the matches against Nasaf, Al Sadd, and Al Gharafa in the AFC Champions League.

In a related context, the club announced the injury of Brazilian player Philippe Malcom in his left ankle during the last match against Al Ahli, where the medical staff confirmed that he needs a treatment and rehabilitation program lasting between a week and 10 days.

Malcom will miss his team's matches against Al Adalah in the King’s Cup, Al Akhdood in the league, as well as the Asian match against Nasaf, increasing the concerns of the blue fans with the pressure of matches and multiple commitments.
