Officially.. Duhok Signs Senegalese Striker

Duhok Sports Club has officially announced its signing of the Senegalese striker Boli Junior Sambo, in a move aimed at strengthening the team's attacking power during the current season of the Iraqi Stars League.

The club's media office director, Shafan Mohammed, clarified that the signing came based on a direct recommendation from Brazilian coach Sergio Farias, who closely followed the player's career and saw in him a capable element to make a difference due to his experience and great potential. He added that the coaching staff has high hopes that Sambo will be a qualitative addition to the team's attack.

The Senegalese striker is considered one of the shining names in the African continent, having previously won the top scorer title in the African Champions League as well as the Moroccan league, in addition to having professional experiences with clubs in Turkey and Iran, which earned him a good reputation as one of the top strikers with high scoring abilities and clear attacking instincts.

Duhok hopes that the new arrival will contribute to restoring balance to the team, especially after losing in the first round against Al-Karma with a goal to nil, as they prepare for an upcoming match against Al-Shorta next Sunday at the International Shaab Stadium, in a match where coach Farias relies on Sambo's experience to give the team a moral boost and a fresh start in their league journey.
