French coach Laurent Blanc has finalized his selections for the Union team's lineup that will face the anticipated match against Emirati Al Wahda, in the first round of the group stage of the elite AFC Champions League.

The match will be hosted at Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi, taking place on Monday evening, with the kickoff scheduled for 7 PM Saudi and Egyptian time, and 8 PM UAE time.

The Union will enter the match with the absence of the French duo Karim Benzema due to injury, and N'Golo Kanté due to suspension, which represents a significant loss for the team at the start of their continental journey.

Despite the absences, Blanc relies on the readiness of the other team members, especially since the Union aims to achieve a strong start in the tournament, confirming its ambitions to compete for the continental title.

The expected lineup for the team is as follows: in goal, Predrag Rajkovic, in front of him a defensive quartet of Mario Mitaj, Danilo Pereira, Saad Al Musa, and Muhannad Al-Shanqeeti.

In midfield, there are Hossam Aouar, Faisal Al-Ghamdi, and Fabinho Tavares, while the attack is led by Musa Diaby, Saleh Al-Shehri, and Steven Bergwijn.
