French star Kylian Mbappé, a player for Spanish club Real Madrid, expressed the difficulty of identifying the winner of the Ballon d'Or this year, confirming that he will not be among the winners in the 2025 edition.

Mbappé stated in an interview with French newspaper L'Équipe: "I know that I will not win it this year, but it is difficult to choose between two friends like Ousmane Dembélé and Achraf Hakimi."

This statement contrasts with what was circulated in international media at the end of last week, which quoted him saying that if it were up to him, he would award the prize to Dembélé at his home.

The Real Madrid forward confirmed that the competition for the award this season remains open among prominent names, but he is confident that the title will ultimately go to one of his close teammates.
