Danish coach Kasper Hyolmand, the new manager of Bayer Leverkusen, stated that he does not wish to discuss the possibility of signing his compatriot Christian Eriksen in the upcoming period, following the player's contract termination with his previous club Manchester United, making him a free agent.

Hyolmand clarified in remarks during his introductory press conference: "I do not talk about players in this way. If there is something of this nature, I will discuss it with Simon Rolfes," referring to the club's sporting director.

The Danish coach added: "Christian is a great player, and an even better person than he is a player, but we have a wonderful team here with exceptional players capable of achieving a lot."

Hyolmand's statements temporarily close the door on speculation regarding Eriksen's transfer to Bayer Leverkusen, as the player seeks a new challenge after the conclusion of his recent experience in the Premier League.
