British media reports have revealed that Nottingham Forest's management has officially begun its efforts to select a new coach to replace Portuguese Nuno Santo, who was dismissed early Tuesday after a shaky start to the current season in the Premier League.

According to Sky Sports, the list of candidates includes several prominent names in the coaching scene, including:

Oliver Glasner - Manager of Crystal Palace.

Andoni Iraola - Manager of Bournemouth.

Mauricio Pochettino - Head Coach of the United States National Team.

Marco Silva - Manager of Fulham.

The report confirmed that Forest's management has not yet made a final decision, but they are keen to resolve the matter as soon as possible, with sporting director Edu Gaspar and CEO of football Russ Wilson tasked with selecting the new coach.

Speculation has increased regarding the name of the incoming coach, with former Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou being linked to the role, especially after he was recently seen alongside club owner Evangelos Marinakis, who honored him for being the first Greek coach to win the UEFA Europa League title.

The name of Portuguese coach José Mourinho also remains among the options, following his departure from Turkish club Fenerbahçe during the last summer transfer window.
